General Workflow for Analyzer 3.0
Settings
A new "task" is the term for Analyzer's tracing project. An Analyzer job consists of two separate items.
A .fwt file (FaceWare Tracking) that serves as the main project file for the job. This is the file you will select when opening an existing job.
A folder that shares the same name as the task with "_fwt" appended to the end. This folder contains a number of working files for tracking, including working image sequences.
Tracking
A way to feed information about an actor's performance to software is to "mark up" frames with extreme, distinct expressions to create training frames. This frame can then be processed in software to reach any intermediate expression. User input is to move points (called "landmarks" in the analyzer) around the face in a specific way.
training
The main purpose of Faceware Analyzer is to quickly and accurately track facial expressions so that these expressions can be applied to facial animations using Faceware Retargeter. Tracing allows the user to create the shape of a particular actor, eventually ending up with a model that reflects the actor's expression. This increases the accuracy of the track and better captures the kind of small movements that really help sell facial performance.
export
The export process is called "parameterization". The process of converting Analyzer's tracking data into a format that Retargeter (.fwr files) can use to create animations. Parameterization is the final step in the tracking process, which combines the four processes of parameterization.
When parameterization is complete, Analyzer creates a .fwr file in the same location as the .fwt file and the project folder. If the video is 30 seconds long, the corresponding .fwr file contains 30 seconds of motion data.
This .fwr is the performance file that will be loaded into Retargeter.
Features of Analyzer 3.0
Expression and texture tracking for complete facial movement analysis
Analyzer is a high-quality authoring software that uses machine learning and deep learning to track facial movements in video. It uses markerless technology to track everything your face can in very high quality.

global tracking model
Got a lot of videos to process? Analyzer Studio Plus has a feature that helps you track additional videos with the same actors by exporting the statistical tracking data generated by the first video. This allows you to benefit from machine learning techniques on large projects. Especially when there are a large number of scenes with the same actors.
Automation API
Are you short of resources? Analyzer includes a full library of batch API commands and arguments that provide access to virtually any part of the Analyzer workflow. This library allows users to create semi-automated and fully automated workflows. Our largest users process tens of thousands of seconds of facial animation without user input on a shot-by-shot basis.

Intelligent Drag
We know a lot about face tracking and are constantly looking for ways to improve our workflow. A feature called Intelligent Drag makes tracking data easy to generate. Once one landmark tracking point is correctly placed on the face, all other tracking points can be quickly placed on the face. The smart approach coupled with Analyzer's clean and simple workflow means you don't have to be a scientist to get professional face tracking.
