High frame rate capture. Primex 22's 360 FPS capture rate and image freeze global shutter can be used for applications that require Prime Series precision for movement speeds above 150 mph.
Tracks active and passive markers with position errors less than +/- 0.10 mm and rotation errors less than 0.5 degrees. For some tracking applications, customers may benefit from a combination of active and passive markers.
Powerful on-board image processing. All OptiTrack cameras feature integrated image processing. Algorithms and data delivery sequences that identify markers and marker centers are important steps towards achieving world-class accuracy and low latency.

"Fast glass" 6.8mm lens. We custom design our own low distortion “fast glass” lenses for optimal marker tracking. The Primex 22's F#1.6 lens is treated with a broadband anti-reflection coating, which greatly increases light transmittance to the imager, resulting in higher volumes and more accurate 3D data.

Full resolution black and white reference video. Any Primex camera can be used as a reference video source with synchronized calibrated 3D overlays. Provides and/or records full resolution, full frame rate video with 3D overlays of markers, rigid bodies, skeletons, etc.
External sync input/output, genlock and time code. Sync your Prime and Primex cameras to any signal or source with eSync 2, with all the features and flexibility you expect from a professional tracking system. The camera synchronizes with dozens of sources, including Genlock signals from professional cameras, and recording and other event triggering can be managed with universal inputs and software commands.
Use the sync output signal as a master or trigger force plates, EMGs, and National Instruments DAQ for flexible yet precise hardware synchronization. SMTPE timecode allows for easy editing and logging with highly accurate frame timing. OptiTrack's free public SDK allows further customization within the timing protocol.
